The Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness is pleased to inform you of the delivery options available to coaches in the NCCP Multi-sport coach education and training program, beginning April 1, 2011.

Multi-sport Introduction to Competition, Part A and B and Competition Development, will be offered in three (3) modular delivery options.

Classroom - Attend a classroom course in your area with other coaches for an interactive experience

Web-based - The Introduction to Competition Web-based delivery system is designed for coaches who wish to complete their workbook online. You will have a Learning Facilitator (LF) assigned to you for this web-based course. The LF is there to answer any questions you might have as you complete the work. The same LF will correct your workbook. Once the coach completes and submits the attached application form along with the payment, the materials, username and password will be sent to the coach by email and the reference material by mail. You will have one month to complete and submit to us the workbook for correction.

Homestudy - The Introduction to Competition Homestudy delivery option is designed for coaches who are unable to attend a classroom or to do a web-based course. Once the coach completes and submits the attached application form along with the payment, the coach workbook and reference materials will be sent by mail. You will have a Learning Facilitator (LF) assigned to you for this homestudy. The LF is there to answer any questions you might have as you complete the work. The same LF will correct your workbook. You will have a month to complete and submit to us the workbook for correction. You will be notified of the results by letter.

The 3 modular delivery options for the multi-sport program can be accessed at the Department of Health and Wellness website http://www.gov.ns.ca/hpp/pasr/coaching.asp after April 1, 2011.
Registration details are listed there.
